Child Parent Relationship Therapy CPRT Treatment Manual a 10 Session Filial Therapy Model for Training Parents With CDROM
$49.95

This manual is the highly recommended companion to CPRT: A 10-Session Filial Therapy Model. Accompanied by a CD-Rom of training materials, which allows for ease of reproduction and enhanced usability, the workbook will help the facilitator of the filial training and will provide a much needed educational outline to allow filial therapists to pass their knowledge on to parents. The Treatment Manual provides a comprehensive outline and detailed guidelines for each of the ten sessions, facilitating the training process for both the parents and the therapist. The book contains a designed structure for the therapy training described in the book, with child-centered play therapy principles and skills, such as reflective listening, recognizing and responding to children's feelings, therapeutic limit setting, building children's self-esteem, and structuring required weekly play sessions with their children using a special kit of selected toys.

Bratton and her co-authors recommend teaching aids, course materials, and activities for each session, as well as worksheets for parents to complete between sessions. By using this workbook and CD-Rom to accompany the CPRT book, filial therapy leaders will have a complete package for use in training parents to act as therapeutic agents with their own children. They provide the therapist with a complete package for training parents to act as therapeutic agents with their own children.

Marriage is under attack now more than ever. Even within the church, homosexuality, divorce, and shallow, sentimental views of love are subverting God's design for husbands and wives. To help Christian couples counter these trends and recover marriage as God intended it, Dr. Michael A.G. Haykin has compiled a rich anthology of love letters from saints of the past. Each letter gives us a glimpse of what marriage should be: joyful companionship, deep passion, and unfailing commitment through the ups and downs of life. At its best, Christian marriage is a foretaste of eternal bliss--and it's far more satisfying than any of the substitutes this world has to offer.

Many Christians mistakenly believe that true Christians don't get depressed, and this misconception heaps additional pain and guilt onto Christians who are suffering from mental and emotional distress.

Author David P. Murray comes to the defense of depressed Christians, asserting that Christians do get depressed! He explains why and how Christians should study depression, what depression is, and the approaches caregivers, pastors, and churches can take to help those who are suffering from it.

With clarity and wise biblical insight, Dr. Murray offers help and hope to those suffering from depression, the family members and friends who care for them, and pastors ministering to these wounded members of their flock.

When tragedy strikes-the death of a child, hurricanes, a school shooting-we begin looking for an escape from the pain, a way out, or we clamor for answers from a panel of religious experts to explain the ever-present question, Why? We want answers and we want to believe that our suffering isn't meaningless.
A Christian's Pocket Guide to Suffering seeks to simply, but clearly, present a biblical view of suffering so that your feet might land on the solid foundation of God's Word and the God of that Word and, there, find understanding and hope. All other ground is sinking sand.

I love this book by Dr. Andrew Pomerantz....He presents alternative perspectives on many issues and by doing so helps readers learn from the dialectic or tension between these perspectives. This text is a great foundation for students who are interested in developing their identities as clinical psychologists.
--John Sommers-Flanagan, PhD, University of Montana, and co-author of Clinical Interviewing
